Studio closed Monday, October 14th in observance of Columbus Day
Dick Barker opened the studio in 1959 in Indian Orchard and moved the business to Ludlow in 1977. In 1988, one of Dick’s students, Deborah Bednarz took over as owner/director after 20 years of dancing with the studio. Jenna Alimberti, a student of the studio for over 30 years, became owner/director in 2018.
Each director has helped to create the family-oriented environment of Dick Barker School of Dance which has been rooted in the community of Ludlow for over 40 years. The studio has fostered a love of dance for generations of youth in the town of Ludlow and beyond.
Our mission at Dick Barker School of Dance is to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where dancers of all ages and skill levels can explore their passion for dance. We are committed to fostering a sense of community and family, encouraging personal growth and creativity, and confidence in each of our students. Though engaging recreational dance programs, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of dance and the joy it brings.
Our vision is to be a cherished home for recreational dance, where generations of families can connect, grow and find joy through movement.
